Carolyn Van Dort has worked as a therapist in private practice for many years. She is a registered clinician on the PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and ARCAP (Australian Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) registers.
As well as her private work, Carolyn facilitates community groups in Music Based Mindfulness. She has worked in drug and alcohol hospital outpatient groups. Her personal experience with cancer underpins her understanding and her work with life-disturbing illness, as does her in-depth study and qualification base.
Carolyn is a registered music therapist and a registered guided imagery and music therapist. She has a Master’s degree in creative arts therapies and is a qualified trainer for the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music.
Carolyn is a Primary trainer for both the Music and Imagery Association of Australia, MIAA, and the Association for Music and Imagery, AMI. See: Training.
